LADAKH ADMINISTRATION SAFETY MEASURES- COVID-19

THE ADMINISTRATION OF UNION TERRITORY OF LADAKH

Establishment of screening post at Meenamarg and Quarantine Centre at Drass-COVID-19 regarding.

ORDER

In view of the re-opening of Srinagar-Kargil National Highway, the following is Hereby ordered:-

 1- SDM/Tehsildar, Drass, and Block Medical Officer, Drass shall establish a full-fledged screening post at Meenamarg within three days positively. The Screening Post shall remain functional 24x7.

 2-SDM/Tehsildar and Block Medical Officer, Drass shall also establish a Quarantine Centre in the TRC building near Tourist Dak Bungalow Drass with at least 50 beds and all other necessary facilities.

 3-Chief Medical Officer, Kargil and Block Medical Officer, Drass shall depute the following screening squad at Meenamarg Screening Post for the first week:

 Chief Medical Officer, Kargil and Block Medical Officer, Drass shall issue a separate duty roster of the screening squad for each week after completion of one-week duty by the above team.

 4 SDM/Tehsildar, Drass shall depute the following monitoring squad at Meenamarg along with the screening squad of Health Department for the first week:-

They will keep records of all the screened individuals on a daily basis in the prescribed format annexed with the order as Annexure ‘A’ and submit the same to the control Room established in DC Office, Kargil. SDM/Tehsildar, Drass shall issue a separate duty roster of the monitoring squad for each week after completion of one-week duty by the above team.

 5-The screening squad and monitoring squad shall ensure 100%screening of the passengers/Tourists/drivers and military/para-military personnel at Meenamarg. Under no circumstances can any individual be allowed to enter the District without screening.

 6- During the screening process, if any individual is suspected to have COVID-19 symptoms, that the individual will be immediately shifted to the Quarantine Centre at Drass.After examination/observation in the Quarantine Centre, if the Doctor is convinced that the individual/patient has a high probability of COVID-19 infection, that individual/patient shall be immediately shifted to the Isolation Ward established in the GNM School, Kurbathang, Kargil.

 7- Chief Medical Officer, Kargil shall ensure that one ambulance at Meenamarg and one ambulance at Drass shall always be kept ready for evacuation of suspected patients to Drass/Kargil respectively.

 8- Sr.Superintendent of Police, Kargil shall make all necessary security arrangements at both Meenamarg Screening Post and Drass Quarantine Centre.

 9- SDM/Tehsildar and BMO, Drass shall make all necessary boarding and lodging arrangement for the screening/monitoring squad at Meenamarg and for the patients in Quarantine Centre, Drass including heating arrangements at both locations.

 10- All the line departments of the Drass Sub-Division shall extend full cooperation to the SDM/Tehsildar for any kind of support/help asked for. Strict action shall be taken against Officers/Officials of any department for non-compliance with this instruction.

 11- SDM/Tehsildar Drass shall be the Nodal Officer for the entire process of screening, monitoring, and quarantine.
